BJChristian Designs is a fun and unique line of wire jewelry made using precious and semi-precious metals. Self-taught, I started playing with this technique in the late 90’s, first with copper wire, and soon progressing to sterling silver and gold-filled wire. Each year I continue to learn more techniques to incorporate in my pieces. 

My work is an extension of who I am. As a yogi, nature lover, and spiritual seeker, I am influenced greatly by consciousness, the cosmos, nature, creativity, and uplifting others.

Most of the wire I use in my designs is Sterling Silver. However, I still enjoy creating designs in copper wire, and I have a collection combining gold and silver. All of the wire is formed and forged using hand tools; many different types of pliers, hammers, and a small jewelers anvil, plus a drill and rods for coiling.

Some pieces are all wire, but most are combined with beads of silver, gold, or copper; and include semi-precious gemstones or other beads, like Swarovski® crystals, pearls, glass, wood, or clay.

Each piece is a fun journey of creation, inspired by the energy of the metal and gemstones and how they “wish” to be formed together. You will notice that most of my jewelry pieces contain a spiral of some sort. I have always been attracted to spirals, and have been doodling them as long as I can remember.  Its meaning is of creation, evolution, journey, and enlightenment. Spirals are found in the plant kingdom, throughout nature, and in the symbolism of every indigenous culture on Earth.
